Hello Gardeners!

This year LEGS is partnering with a local group of residents who have been working over the last number of years to restore dignity and stewardship to the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital Cemetery. Through the good works of the Toronto Park and Tree Foundation and the Green Touch, LEGS has hundreds of daffodil bulbs available for planting. Now we just need some helping hands!

Let me know if you plan to come and if you need a ride.

Dawn

Below is the request from the Organizing Group:

Fall 2011 Clean up.

To remember and honour in a dignified and respectful way the lives of the 1,511 people buried in the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital Cemetery and to acknowledge their contributions to our community.

We will be gathering to do some yard work and freshen up the grounds.
Grass/Hedge clippers and Lawn-edgers will be useful. You are welcome to join us. Donations of artificial flowers would also be appreciated.

For More information please contact
Deb Quiggin at 416-251-8666.
