Fall Gardeners Wanted

Seed Exchange is on
Fall Harvest is on
Tree Festival is on (see details in next post!)

Come on out to our first fall meeting, September 19th and meet up with fellow LEGS members. Let’s learn something new!

Why grow heirloom vegetables?

  • heirloom varieties of most vegetables are especially flavorful
  • distinct colour varieties are attractive, vibrant and healthy
  • Increase genetic variety of our food plants
  • grow greater resistance to pests, naturally

Heirloom Vegetables Fall Meeting would not be complete without a seed exchange!

The cooling weather is calling all tea lovers and tea newbies!
We have the perfect tea combinations for you, from our locally grown, organic community gardens.

Our “Herbs to Tea” team has been busy. We will have bags of 3 of our teas from this year’s herb garden for sale.

“Secret Garden”
“Down Memory Lane”
“Sweet Dreams”,

All available for a $5 donation per package.

Half of the proceeds from our tea sales go to the Daily Bread Food Bank, to support their programs.

We hope to see many of you on Sept. 19!

Please bring any seeds you may have to contribute to our Seed Exchange supply.

There is a form below to label your seeds.
